The White House press office says President Trump will travel to both Dayton and El Paso later this week and visit the sites of the mass shootings that happened this weekend. Some on the Democrat side have called the move inappropriate and insulting to those murdered because they blame the President's rhetoric for inflaming hatred. The Mayor of El Paso said he would meet the President as an official White House visit and nothing more. Nan Whaley, the Mayor of Dayton, said she told the President he would be welcome there.
The President is expected to travel on Wednesday to both locations after calling yesterday for an end to hatred, racism, and white supremacy in his remarks on the shootings.
