A Mississippi candidate for governor has decided along with his wife to follow the "Billy Graham rule" while on the campaign trail The rule basically says that the candidate, Robert Foster, won't be seen with any unaccompanied women including reporters. That created a problem for one female columnist Larrison Campbell who was scheduled to go on the campaign trail with Foster when officials told he she would not be credentialed.
According to Foster "In our case, it was a female reporter asking to ride along, and my campaign director is in and out and gone sometimes...it's just going to going to be a lot of opportunities for an awkward situation I didn't want to put myself in...we just wanted to keep things professional,"
Given the possibilities for blackmail, false charges, and just photo ops is the "Billy Graham rule" a good idea on the campaign trail?
