Attorney General William Barr did not appear in front of a Congressional hearing yesterday and was roundly criticized for his no show. Rep. Steve Cohen of Tennessee went so far as to bring a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken and a plastic chicken to the hearing to show his disdain for Barr's decision. The President has said he will no long have his people cooperate, that the hearings have gone far enough and if need be he will claim executive privilege for his staff. The hearings stem from controversy over the Mueller investigation, the Barr summary, and subsequent letters released since then.
