Winter Storm Diego just dumped a couple of feet of snow on parts of numerous southern states including North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi to name a few. Many of those states don't get this kind of snowfall in a year let alone a day or two so they are ill equipped to handle it.
Governors in some states are urging people unfamiliar with driving in this type of weather to remain at home. The video below is a compilation of how railroad companies keep their tracks open during the Winter season especially in states that receive typically feet as opposed to inches of snow.
