(Fairview Park) - A man accused of stealing a car and then driving it onto a restricted area of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is now facing federal charges.

Isaac Woolley, 26, of Brunswick, was due in Rocky River Municipal Court on Monday to face charges of Grand Theft Motor Vehicle and Attempted Felonious Assault. However, Fairview Park Police Chief Paul Shepard says Wooley has been taken into custody by U.S. Marshals on a federal arrest warrant for having trespassed in a restricted area of the airport.

On Wednesday, November 23, Fairview Park police received calls that a woman's car had been stolen. The woman told police that she had been driving around a parking lot on Brookpark Road, looking for a lost pet. She got out of her car and left it running. That's when a man jumped into the car and began driving away. The car owner tried to get back in the car, but she was knocked to the ground and suffered minor injuries.

The car was later found by Cleveland Police in a restricted area of Hopkins Airport, near where the runways are. All aviation operations at the airport were put on hold for about 30 minutes until the restricted areas was secured. Woolley was arrested and was being held by Fairview Park Police until he was claimed by U.S. Marshals.
