Florida Couple Buys Baby Bouncer At Goodwill, Finds Rifle Inside

A Florida couple thought they got a great bargain on a Baby Einstein baby bouncer at Goodwill. The bouncer retails on Amazon for $99.99, but the one at Goodwill, which appeared to be in an unopened box, was just $9.99.

Veronica Alvarez-Rodriguez couldn't pass up the deal and purchased the bouncer as a baby shower gift for a friend. When the father-to-be opened the box, he was surprised to find a loaded Mossberg 715T semi-automatic rifle inside.

"Total shock for us," Alvarez-Rodriguez told WOFL-TV. "But also hilarious and just glad it came into safe hands with all of our husbands being military."

They contacted the police, who came by and checked their IDs and told them they could keep the gun. The next day, authorities changed their mind and asked them to turn over the weapon while they investigate the incident.

Alvarez-Rodriguez shared the story on Facebook and posted a video showing how the fully-assembled gun fit into the baby bouncer box.

"When you go to the Goodwill for a baby shower gift thinking you got a good deal on a bouncer ($10) not even opened and you end up opening a 🔫MOSSBERG 715T Semi-Auto Rifle 😱😱"
