18-Year-Old Enters Alford Plea In January Murder

TOLEDO, Ohio - An 18-year-old Toledo man has entered an Alford plea in a January shooting that killed a man in central Toledo.

WTOL 11 reports Tavon Tucker entered the plea to reduced charges of involuntary manslaughter and aggravated robbery in the shooting death of Deshawn Gott. He was shot back in January on Woodland and City Park in central Toledo.

Tucker was originally charged with murder. With his Alford plea, Tucker does not admit he committed the crime but does admit the prosecution could likely prove his guilt. He will be sentenced on December 20.
