Historic Barn Dedication Marks New Trail

(Woodville, OH) There's a dedication ceremony later today for the latest barn to be included in the Sandusky County Historic Painted Barn Trail.

The barn is located near Woodville and features an image of favorite son Tom Henricks, a Colonel in the U.S. Air Force and a four-time shuttle astronaut.

There are already barns featuring a portrait of President Rutherford B. Hayes along the Ohio Turnpike, the Battle of Fort Stephenson near Fremont, and the 9-11 attacks near Gibsonsburg.

The Sandusky County Historic Painted Barn Trail ties in with a statewide trail being established by Ohio History Connection, which already has a barn with an image of Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry in Ottawa County, and an Annie Oakley barn in Darke County.

The public ceremony starts at 4 p.m.
