Toledo Police Take Crimefighting Door-to-Door

(Toledo, OH) Toledo is launching its latest crime-fighting effort.

"Not in My House" is a door-to-door campaign by Toledo police, prosecutors, and the mayor to rid the city of guns and drugs...no questions asked.

If someone reports the presence of either item, police will come pick it up-- and not question the homeowner. The message to residents is that they can play a silent role in take power away from gangs and gun violence, simply by quietly reporting what's there.

The house-by-house, block-by-block campaign is an effort to rid Toledo of gun violence and the drug trade. Police and supporters spent part of Thursday passing out stickers and fliers to promote the program.
