Toledo Municipal Court Gets "Rock-n-Roll Robes"

(Toledo, OH) The voters sang the singer's praises at the polls-- now she's a judge.

During the campaign, she was dubbed the Rock-n-Roll Republican. That's because Nicole Khoury is the lead singer of Arctic Clam, as well as a defense lawyer.

But she won a seat on the Toledo Municipal Court bench in November-- and Thursday night got sworn in at the Stranahan Theater in front of a throng of family and friends.

Khoury also organizes the annual Acoustics for Autism musicla fundraiser in Maumee each March, drawing dozens of bands for her nonprofit Project I Am.

Khoury plans to continue performing, possible turning her new role into rock-n-roll robes.
