TOLEDO, Ohio - Lucas County Commissioners already have a location in mind for a new proposed correctional facility.
WTOL 11 reports a purchase agreement is in place for 30 acres along Angola Road for a new jail. On Tuesday, County Commissioners unanimously approved a measure to put a property tax levy on the November ballot to raise the funds for the new jail.
If approved, a 650-bed facility will be built on the property in the 3000 block of Angola Road.
