Washington Local Teachers Accused Of Leaving 6th Grade Camp Will Not Return To School

TOLEDO, Ohio - Seven Washington Local teachers will not return to the district after being accused of leaving a sixth grade camp and consuming alcohol.

WTOL 11 reports that five of the teachers elected to resign and the other two decided not to renew their contracts with the district.

The teachers were accused of leaving the camp in Fenton, Michigan and drinking during a meal at a local restaurant. After an investigation, the district determined the teachers had violated school board policy and the Ohio Teacher Licensure Code.
