On February 18, 1980 Fred started his first day at what was then 92.5 WMHE on Bancroft St. After many years the station became KISS-FM moved downtown bought WIOT, WSPD, The River, WCWA, CKY and Fred moved from mornings on KISS-FM to mornings on WSPD. Yet in all those years of saying his name on air, being interviewed on TV, and emceeing thousands of events people still can't spell his name correctly.
