Where are the jobs in Northwest Ohio and why are so few applying for them?

Local employers are having trouble finding people to fill positions in every industry and they say there are a number of reasons including increased government help, and fear of Covid-19. Once Covid 19 restrictions were put in place a number of businesses especially bars and restaurants found themselves having to furlough or let employees let go. Now that some of those restrictions have been lifted companies are looking to replace staff they lost in 2020 but many former employees have new positions elsewhere or are refusing return to work for a number of reasons. Some of those include child care problems, children still at home because of school restrictions, fear of Covid 19, additional benefits from the government.

There are local industries looking for employees and some of these jobs are full time with good wages, others are part time hours for smaller concerns. Here's an interview with two local businesses and a listing of some of the jobs in the area.
