Should Diplomats Have Immunity? - Thursday Sixty Minute Poll

On August 27th Ann Sacoolas, the wife of a US CIA operative, struck and killed a British teen riding a bicycle. Sacoolas was apparently driving on the wrong side of the road when the accident occured. Sacoolas was not tested for drugs or alcohol as the teen was still alive when police arrived on the scene. Sacoolas told police what happened and was questioned later about the incident, she soon lawyered up and then claimed diplomatic immunity telling British police she had no plans to leave the country.

She, her husband, and family did however leave the UK and returned to US shores.

Yesterday President Trump suggested that it is difficult driving on the left side of the road and that there would be a meeting between the woman and the teen's family.

Should diplomats get immunity from prosecution for crimes committed in other countries, should their families receive it also?
