Earthquake Rattles Parts Of Ohio - Scott Talks with USGS NEIC

Around 10:50am Monday, the United States Geological Survey reported a 4.2-magnitude earthquake northeast of Cleveland, about 3.1 miles below the surface of Lake Erie. No damage was reported.

More than 200 earthquakes with at least a 2.0-magnitude or greater have been recorded in the state since 1776. Northwest Ohio may feel occasional seismic activity as part of the New Madrid Fault zone.
