LISTEN: Port Clinton High Principal Explains Ending Valedictorian Tradition

Port Clinton High School today announced they would end the tradition of naming a Class Valedictorian for the school's Graduation Ceremony. Instead, graduates from Port Clinton will receive laude honors, which will celebrate the individual students' accomplishments and work ethic rather than ranking students against each other as a competition.

Earlier this month, Baker Mayfield of the Cleveland Browns called a similar decision by Mason High School, "... so dumb ... People are too soft."
