Drew Brees Breaks NFL Passing Record

Tonight, New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees surpassed former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning to set a new NFL record for passing yardage in a career.

Following the record-setting pass tonight, a recorded message from Peyton Manning played to fans in the Superdome.

Prior to tonight's game, Drew Brees had thrown for 59-thousand yards since joining the Saints in 2006.  He's no stranger to the record books already; but, this might be his most prestigious accomplishment yet.  And, it comes against a stingy Washington Redskins passing defense who, up until tonight, had allowed the fewest passing yards per game in the league.
