(Toledo, Oh) Tuesday's City Council Agenda Review meeting looks to approve an out of date Collective Bargaining Agreement. The City of Toledo and the Toledo Firefighters Association reached a tentative agreement over terms that revise the current agreement, which expired on December 31, 2017.
The tentative agreement provides the City with the ability to reassign six Lieutenants from the Communications Bureau to line operations and civilianize those Shift Supervisor positions.
The new agreement looks to enhance the safety of Toledo residents as well as the firefighters by providing a process to achieve all four-person engines by the end of the agreement.
If approved the agreement will last through December 31, 2020.
