(Toledo, OH) A former Toledo city councilman is back at One Government Center in a new role.
Former Toledo City Council President Steve Steel is returning to help his former colleagues as the legislative body's chief of staff.
Term limits prevented Steel from seeking another term, so he went to work for a local labor relations law firm until he was offered his new job by the current city council president. According to a letter sent to city council members,
teel was hired to improve relations with city residents, work with the mayor's office on policy development, and coordinate with other local governments. Steel also has experience with past city budgets and existing relationships with many of the Toledo city department heads. He'll start his new job after the Labor Day weekend.
