(Toledo, OH) A new health center is now open and operating in East Toledo.
The opening this week of the East Toledo Community Health Center restores some clinical services ended earlier this summer by the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department, including family practice, pediatrics, prenatal, women’s health, and dental services. In fact, some former health department staff now work at the new clinic on Starr Avenue.
The new clinic currently offers adult and pediatric primary care along with behavioral health services. The East Toledo location is the 14th clinic for Health Partners of Western Ohio, which also has sites in Defiance, Bryan and Tiffin.
The neighborhood-based clinic already is seeking a bigger site, anticipating a greater need for its services that will be aimed at treating the whole family.
