(Toledo, OH) Ohio’s Democratic senator is touting his legislation to get Americans to buy American-made vehicles and keep auto jobs in the U.S.
Senator Sherrod Brown visited the UAW Local 12 hall Thursday to talk about the American Cars, American Jobs Act. The bill would give car buyers a $3,500 rebate if they buy an American-made car.
Brown introduced the legislation last week after General Motors announced it plans to build the new Chevy Blazer in Mexico, an SUV once made in suburban Dayton.
Senator Brown touted the legislation in Toledo just ahead of Jeepfest.
