(Bowling Green, OH) Survivalists will gather to get supplies in Bowling Green this weekend.
The third annual Ohio Prepper, Survivalist, and Firearms Expo moves to the Wood County Fairgrounds this year, where organizers have joined forces with a Monster Truck rally.
The event deals mostly with camping and emergency preparedness, or prepper, tools, but there will be a number of disaster preparedness classes and speakers offered throughout the event Saturday and Sunday. Vendors and trainers are coming from as far away as California and Florida.
More than 2,000 people attended last year's show. Organizers point to the long-term power outages in Puerto Rico from a hurricane last fall as a reason people should be prepared for self-sufficiency and self-reliance.
The show runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, with the monster truck show Saturday evening, which includes BMX bike racing and fireworks.
