(Toledo, OH) Going out-of-business sales already are signaling the end of an era for Elder-Beerman.
Shoppers saw the first signs that Northwest Ohio stores soon would cease operations, with going out of business discounts being offered over the weekend. Signs reading “nothing held back” and “entire store on sale” offered discounts of 10 to 30 percent off at the Toledo Westgate store and another at the Woodland Mall in Bowling Green.
Other affected store locations across the region include Findlay, Sandusky, Defiance and Adrian.
There's no timetable for the store closings after a liquidator bought the Ohio-based retail chain in a deal approved last week by a bankruptcy court judge.
