(Toledo, OH) The Ohio Turnpike is the next to start setting up orange barrels.
There won't be any delay-causing road construction along the Ohio Turnpike near Toledo this year. But the toll road will see plenty of construction projects during the summer travel season.
Turnpike officials will spend $134 million during orange barrel season, but most of that work will occur well east of the Toledo area. The biggest delays start in May where a nine-mile stretch of the toll road in Erie County will be completely resurfaced in both directions.
Northwest Ohio projects involve bridge painting in Williams, Sandusky, and Erie Counties.
