(Toledo, OH) Orange barrel season is back-- and the first target is downtown Toledo.
The first phase of a downtown construction project begins today at Monroe and Summit Streets, meaning lane closures and detours are likely on both roads.
Resurfacing work at that intersection also will involve the installation of new brick crosswalks. That phase will wrap up sometime in June. Phase two will mean lane closures on Monroe between Erie Street and Collingwood Boulevard, resurfacing work that should be complete by August.
But there won't be any lane closures on Mud Hens opening day.
