(Perrysburg, OH) Statewide Republican candidates will court conservatives tonight in Perrysburg.
GOP candidates for governor Mike DeWine and Mary Taylor have been invited to meet and greet members of the Northwest Ohio Conservative Coalition and Toledo Tea Party.
But Ohio Republican Party chairperson Jane Timken will be on hand to keep the peace in case things get nasty, like they have in the primary campaign so far. Timken will address the group for the first time during the event featuring appetizers and a cash bar at the Holiday Inn French Quarter in Perrysburg.
A number of Republicans running for a U.S. Senate seat also have been invited to attend the 6 p.m. event. There will be a straw poll for governor and senate at the end of the evening.
