As part of book tour promoting "On The House" John Boehner, former Speaker of The House, says he couldn't get elected today as a Republican. "I'm a conservative Republican, but I'm not crazy. And, you know, these days crazy gets elected. On the left and the right," he told an NPR interviewer. Boehner in numerous interviews has referred to those in his party that oppose him as "knuckleheads" and "crazies" and said the Nancy Pelosi has the same problem on her side of the aisle. Boehner says he doesn't recognize the Republican party anymore and is pretty sure he couldn't win if he ran as a conservative Republican.
