City officials are tight lipped about what the news is for the old Southwyck property but speculation is running rampant on social media that Amazon is headed to Toledo. The Southwyck property has been demolished since 2009 and plans for the property have come and gone numerous times, but according to Councilperson Rob Ludeman this is the first time "something concrete" will happen.
Amazon does have a presence in the area with a Rossford fulfillment center set to open by August creating up to 3,000 jobs.
