Local Housing Affordability Lowest in 10 Years

(Toledo, OH)  Lucas County's housing affordability rating last quarter was the lowest since 2008.

Home buying ability in the U.S. dropped to its worst level in 10 years during the third quarter.

California-based real estate data firm, ATTOM Data Solutions, said their index reading for the third quarter was at 92, down from last years 102.

An index reading below 100 indicates median home prices are less affordable than the historic average.

Lucas County’s index was down 10 points to 83. Last years 93 had been the lowest reading since the third quarter of 2008.
