(Lake Twp. OH) Hundreds of new manufacturing jobs are coming to Wood County.
First Solar has announced plans to build a new factory in Lake Township. The Perrysburg-based solar panel maker says the one-million-square-foot solar module manufacturing facility will locate near its North American factory complex in Perrysburg Township.
Construction is expected to sometime this summer and the site should be able to reach full production in late next year. The plant will have 500 workers when the assembly lines fire up and start production.
The new factory is still dependent on approval of state and local tax incentive packages.
