Voter Registration Deadline One Week Away

(Toledo, OH) There's only a week left to register to vote in Ohio's May primary election.

The deadline for voter registration in Ohio is Monday, April ninth-- exactly 30 days before the primary. You can register in-person at the Lucas County board of elections, during normal office hours this week, or 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. next Monday.

Of course, you can also register to vote at public library branches and driver's license bureaus. You can check the status of your voter registration and change your address online at either a county board of elections website or the Ohio secretary of state's website.

But you will have to declare a party affiliation when you head to the polls next month, unless planning to cast an issues-only ballot.
