Area State Rep Announces Run For State Treasurer

COLUMBUS, Ohio - A Findlay-area state representative wants to become the state's next treasurer.

Rep. Robert Sprague, a Findlay Republican, filed petitions on Tuesday to become a candidate for treasurer of state. It is his first run for a statewide office.

“I am honored to submit to Secretary Husted this afternoon the signatures of over 2,500 Ohioans who believe I am well-qualified to serve as our next Treasurer of State,” said Sprague.  “I look forward to continuing to spend the next 9 months on the campaign trail getting back out to all of our 88 counties and earning the trust of voters in every corner of our state.”

Sprague initially announced his intention to replace the term-limited Josh Mandel back in March of 2017.
