Stolen Guns Recovered in Indiana from NW Ohio Case

(Edon, OH) Northwest Ohio authorities may have caught a break in the case of a stolen gun collection.

More than a dozen firearms stolen last year from a gun collector in Williams County are recovered across the border in Indiana. The weapons are believed to be among 140 taken from a gun collector in Edon. The recovered guns are estimated to be worth more than $27,000.

An 18-year old Montpelier resident is among two suspects arrested on weapons and drug-related charges.

But law enforcement may have a tough time tracking down the rest. Ohio is one of only 11 states that require gun owners to report lost or stolen weapons-- and the ones recovered already crossed state lines.
