TOLEDO, Ohio - A teenage suspect has been arrested in a central Toledo shooting that killed one and wounded another.
The shooting occurred Sunday afternoon in the 1800 block of Macomber St. Police say they received a number of 9-1-1 calls about a large fight in the middle of the street. When they arrived on scene, they found 20-year-old Deasia Wallace suffering from at least one gunshot wound. She was taken to Promedica Toledo Hospital where she later died. Another teenage girl was also taken to the hospital with a non life-threatening gunshot wound.
On Monday, Toledo Police arrested 16-year-old Emannuel Garner in the shooting. He was being treated for a non life-threatening gunshot wound at Mercy St. Vincent's Hospital when he was arrested. Garner is being held at the Lucas County Juvenile Justice Center on charges of murder and felonious assault.
