Mosquitoes in Lucas County Test Positive For West Nile Virus

TOLEDO, Ohio - Mosquitoes in the Toledo area have tested positive for West Nile Virus for the first time this year. 

WTOL 11 reports that four mosquito pools tested positive for the virus last month. Those pools are from three different locations in Toledo. 

The Ohio Department of Health says this is the earliest detection of the virus in Ohio since 2002. You can get more information on mosquito control at the ODH's website.
