July 4th Fireworks in Downtown Toledo

(Toledo, OH) Downtown Toledo will explode in color on Independence Day.

100,000 people are expected to come downtown for the annual Red, White, and Kaboom fireworks display on July Fourth.

The display will be launched from a different location this year-- from a parking lot at the Docks next to the volleyball courts. But the fireworks will still explode in the night sky over the Maumee River.

There are no sponsored events occurring during the day this year.

But Middlegrounds Metropark will be open for kayak and e-bike rentals, along with kids activities from 4 to 8 p.m., including archery, birding, fishing, and yard games. Fireworks watchers can even set up blankets and chairs to see the display up close at the downtown Metropark.
