(Toledo, OH) Lucas County Treasurer Wade Kapszukiewicz wants to be the next mayor of Toledo.
Kapszukiewicz kicked off his campaign Tuesday, promising to bring fresh ideas to the office. The Democrat wants to consolidate some city and county departments to save money and is pushing for creation of a regional water authority.
Kapszukiewicz joins Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson and Toledo City Councilman Tom Waniewski in the race. The county treasurer emphasizes he's not endorsed by any political party in the race, but the registered Democrat could split the vote with the incumbent mayor among the party faithful.
