(Toledo, OH) There will be a new member of Toledo city council as early as Tuesday.
City council is holding a special session Tuesday afternoon to hear from candidates and make a decision. There also is expected to be a swearing-in ceremony ahead of council's agenda meeting.
Independent council member Theresa Gabriel resigned to take the deputy director job at the Lucas County board of elections. Eleven people, including several political newcomers, have filed applications for the appointment.
