(Waterville, OH) The former Waterville elementary school will come tumbling down starting today. An ODOT contractor is to begin demolition work on the $170,000 dollar project, which is expected to take until June.
Once the school site is leveled, ODOT will use the land as an equipment storage area for the State Route 64 bridge over the Maumee Riverset to begin next year.
Once the Waterville Bridge replacement project is complete, the land will be turned back over to Waterville officials who plan to create a park on the site.
