Owens Corning Supports Trade School Project

(Toledo, OH) A $500,000 donation will bring the Cherry Street Mission's trade school program closer to reality. Owens Corning made the gift Thursday to help launch the mission's school for building trades.

The school is designed to get unemployed and underemployed Toledo residents working. Classes are expected to begin later this year in skilled trades such as carpentry.

The trade school will be located in the former Macomber HS building in downtown Toledo. The building has since been renamed the Life Revitalization Center.
