Police Arrest Dozens In Drug Raids

(Toledo, OH) Dozens of people are behind bars and thousands of drugs are off Toledo's streets after a series of raids. Police say 75 people were arrested during the five-day "Dirty Boy" sweep from January 31st through February 4th. Officers seized heroin, cocaine, prescription pills and marijuana during the raids, along with 18 guns and 77-thousand-dollars in cash.

Lucas County doctors also are doing their part to put a dent in the heroin crisis. Lucas County doctors are writing fewer prescriptions for opiate-based painkillers. It's the fourth straight year for the decrease, in part because of a statewide prescription tracking system.
